That perspective shapes how I think about governance, risk, and long-term accountability. The systems I design are documented, maintainable, and built for long-term ownership, they work because people trust them, understand them, and can sustain them as the organization grows.

AI governance wasn't a policy someone handed me. I wrote it. Then I took it to executive leadership and legal until they signed off, because a policy nobody approved isn't governance, it's a document sitting in a folder. Once it was approved, I built the committee that owns it going forward. I wrote the charter, decided what's in scope and what isn't, and I chair it. That committee is the reason we can say yes to new AI tools safely instead of guessing.

Without adoption, the best systems fail. That's what I focus on.
